Another Once Upon a Time In Jerusalem – and this time – the Nachalat Shiva neighborhood in 1963, a view from the south, today’s Independence Garden, at the end of Hillel Street. In the center – what would later become “Cats Square”, at the end of Nachalat Shiva Street, before it the Museum of Tolerance will be built forever, behind it the Engineer’s House, on the right the Muslim cemetery, and on the left the construction of Beit Yoel in progress. Up Hillel Street, the first branch of Aroma was established in the 90s, which was a refreshing innovation in the city, open until the early hours without microphones calling out names, and served as a meeting point for local night owls at the end of their evenings.
Old versus new, layers of history in constant renewal.
A peaceful Sabbath to those near and far ❤
