Ramat Eshkol, located in northern Jerusalem near Mount Scopus and French Hill, is a rapidly growing and very in-demand charedi community. Established in 1968 following the Six-Day War, the area was once a battleground, with land mines cleared by IDF engineer Israel Levitt, who also designed the neighborhood's first buildings. Initially lacking infrastructure, including roads and bus service, Ramat Eshkol has since transformed into a peaceful area with mostly new buildings and rising property prices. Once predominantly secular, the neighborhood has become increasingly charedi, and its high property prices now limit buyers mainly to those from overseas.
